Learn Meditation at The Raj
We invite you to learn the Transcendental Meditation® (TM®) program at the Raj.
According to Ayurveda, mind and body must be in balance to achieve optimal health. TM is a simple, effortless technique that produces profound benefits indicative of both mental and physiological balance. Enjoy deep relaxation, eliminate stress, improve health and increase creativity through regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation program. This technique does not require any change in beliefs or lifestyle and can be learned by anyone regardless of age or level of education.
Instruction in TM can easily be added to any in-resident treatment package. Or, come to The Raj for the sole purpose of learning TM in a supportive and quiet environment, far from the distractions of day-to-day demands. In addition to 4 days of instruction in TM, guests have the opportunity to learn a gentle set of yoga positions and are invited to attend the evening lectures on Ayurveda in order to gain profound insights and tips regarding maintaining optimal health. Guests who already practice the TM technique can have their meditation checked and can opt to enjoy meditating with others in our specially designated meditation room.
The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is practiced for 15-20 minutes in the morning and evening, while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. During this time, the mind settles down and experiences a unique state of restful alertness…. an experience referred to as Transcendental Consciousness.
